Memphis, Tennessee was once a hotbed of professional wrestling. Some of the greatest wrestlers grappled under the marquee of International Championship Wrestling. The legends and stars of this historic wrestling organization are relived when the legendary “Mean Gene” Okerlund hosts “Mat Mayhem”.
The main event features Jerry “The King” Lawler teaming with his archenemy “Macho Man” Randy Savage, to do battle against “Ravishing” Rick Rude and the over 500-pound behemoth King Kong Bundy.
Jerry Lawler is also featured in another tag team match. Lawler teamed with Austin Idol to do battle against the most devastating team in the history of professional wrestling. The awesome power of the Road Warriors was on display when Animal and Hawk defended the International Tag Team Championship. Of course, the Road Warriors had their manager, Precious Paul Ellering, in their corner. See why the Legion of Doom has been called the greatest tag team of all-time! Ohhhh, What a rush it was.
There is also an “Anything Goes Bunkhouse Brawl” featuring Wildfire Tommy Rich and Hot Stuff Eddie Gilbert against Phil Hickerson and The Spoiler. The Fabulous Ones, Steve Keirn and Stan Lane, do battle against Koko B. Ware and Norvell Austin, a.k.a., Pretty Young Things. It is a “Hair versus Mask” match when “The Boogie Woogie Man”, Jimmy Valiant puts his trademark beard on the line against The Assassin. Plus, “The Rock and Roll Express” go against the real-life brother team of “Leaping” Lanny Poffo and “The Macho Man” Randy Savage. 53 minutes. Rated TV-14.
